Preferred Abrasives is excited to return to QuadState 2026, taking place September 25–26 at the Miami County Fairgrounds in Troy, Ohio. Hosted by Southern Ohio Forge & Anvil (SOFA), QuadState is the largest blacksmith gathering in the United States, bringing together blacksmiths, knifemakers, craftspeople, and industry suppliers for two days of demonstrations, vendor sales, and community.

A Must-Attend Event for Blacksmiths
QuadState has become a must-attend event for blacksmiths from across the country and around the world. With demonstrations, vendors, competitions, food, and opportunities to connect with fellow craftspeople, the event offers a unique chance to experience the blacksmithing community in one place.
For Preferred Abrasives, QuadState provides an opportunity to connect directly with experienced blacksmiths and knifemakers who rely on quality abrasives for grinding, shaping, deburring, and finishing. - Mean Green grinding discs

- Surface conditioning flap discs
- Surface preparation products
Attendees can also take advantage of show pricing on belts, along with specials on flap discs and other products.

Know Your Belt Size
If you’re planning to purchase belts at QuadState, make sure you know the correct size for your grinder. Not every belt grinder uses a standard size, and customers sometimes aren’t sure which dimensions they need.
The easiest way to avoid this problem is to measure an old belt before attending the event. Having the correct belt dimensions will make it easier to find replacement belts and explore additional abrasive options.
